For the past week, our 8-month-old filly, Sisu, has been in the hospital. Despite being appropriately dewormed for her age, I found her last Wednesday in severe colic caused by a parasite that only affects young horses.
She has recovered from the impaction colic, but she is still battling an intestinal infection caused by the parasites. We are currently awaiting additional lab results to determine whether this is something she will fully overcome. For now, she is home on a long list of medications, resting, and being closely monitored.
If you pray, we would deeply appreciate prayers for Sisu. If you don’t, we will gladly take every healing thought and good vibe you can send her way.
This unexpected emergency has come with a significant vet bill. Because of that, I’m ramping my photography business back up this season.
🌼 Bluebonnet Mini Sessions – Ennis, TX (Spring)

🌳 Sessions at our new property in Italy, TX once the trees leaf out — including Paint Power and wooded trail portraits
🐴🐶 Horse and dog sessions available at your location of choice. (Will have availability in June and December in Indiana.)
While we wait for warmer weather, I’ve also created an album of some of my favorite animal and landscape photographs. If you’re looking for new artwork for your home or office, I’d love for you to take a look. I’ll continue adding new images over time.
If I have taken photos of your personal animals and you would like to purchase additional downloads or prints, I can help with that as well.
Thank you all so much for your support, encouragement, and love. It truly means more than you know.
