A day that began with chaos ended so beautifully with love

The morning of Kirby & Jennifer's big day didnt start out as planned. We had gone over and picked a beautiful spot in Port Aransas on the the beach for these two lovebirds to exchange vows. Everything was good to go...

Until the morning of..

Somewhere in the early hours of the morning, tons of lightning, rain, and thunder wreaked havoc on what was supposed to be their special day.

The lights went out in their hotel room which caused their makeup to be done in the dark using flashlights and professional lighting gear used by the lovely and talented . (Kuddos to my girl, Michelle, for doing the damn thing in the dark because their makeup was flawless 👏🏼), it also caused my other girl, and I to find a different location for them since it was still raining like cats and dogs because one way or the other, we were having a wedding that morning.

After speaking with Kirby and Jennifer, we all came up with the brilliant idea of having the ceremony out in downtown Corpus Christi under the Miradores where we could still have the beach vibe plus some cover.

As you can see from the photos, the rain surpassed just in time and we had the most beautiful elopement!

It turned out perfectly and Kirby and Jennifer were thrilled beyond belief.

To us as vendors, that's what it's all about. To make sure we do what we can to help make your day as special as can be no matter what the obstacles. While sometimes, not always possible, just a little transition and quick fixes can work miracles with the help of our clients.

An evening filled with love, laughter, happy tears, smiles, and unconditional LOVE.

When I say that your wedding should be done you way, this is what I mean.

Quivari & Marcelina were the epitome of that.

Just two people truly and completely in love with one another making a promise before God. No bells and whistles. Just them along with their parents.

That to me is the perfect day!

We had storms all day but it didn't stop them from making their promise to one another.

It was a beautiful evening then about 10 mins after their ceremony was through, dark clouds and strong winds took over and gave us the perfect stormy background.

To them, they didnt care. Despite weather conditions, it was still the perfect intimate setting for these lovebirds.

Because of the weather, we had to change the time of their cermony but despite everything, they chose not to panic but to put their trust in me to deliver for them and boy did we make it work!

It was truly the best day!

What happens if an emergency arises and you're not able to capture our day?

That is a great question!
Let's talk about it...

Throughout my entire 12+ years as a photographer, I have only ONCE had to miss out on one of my clients' days.

Although I do my very best to ensure that I will be the one to photograph your day, sometimes life brings unexpected emergencies/events.

While situations like this are extremely rare, I believe couples deserve transparency and reassurance when trusting someone with one of the most important days of their lives.

If an emergency, illness, or unexpected life event were to prevent me from being there and photographing your wedding day, here is the process I have in place to protect my couples:

👉🏼 Immediate communication with my couple

👉🏼 A trusted team of talented, experienced backup photographers within my professional network - I have a very trusted team of photographers that I know will get the job done just as well as I would for you. They would be the ones to fill in and take over for me.

👉🏼 Transfer of timelines, venue details, and important wedding information - All of your important details will be carefully explained and planned to my team so they can smoothly serve your day in the best way.

👉🏼 Continued coordination to make the transition as smooth as possible - Even when I'm not able to be there, I will still be in contact with my team throughout your day to make sure everything goes accordingly.

👉🏼 My ongoing support through my editing, gallery delivery, and any next steps needed - just because I wasn't able to make it to your day doesn't mean you have lost me. I'm still here and will make sure I edit and deliver the best wedding gallery to you!

Ps. A huge thank you to my dear friend and photographer Laura with Padre Ryan for stepping in & crushing it during Kim & Roxie's big surprise proposal and to Kim & Roxy for their compassionate sympathetic understanding of my absence.
