The real story behind these photos… 😂🤍

This shoot was extra special because these are my people — my son, my daughter-in-law, and my grandson. And they’re expecting another little one in January!

Now, let me tell you what you don’t see in these pictures…

We were on a mission to find the location before sunset, my grandson gave me approximately 15 minutes of cooperation before he decided he had places to be 😂, and somewhere in the middle of it all, Mom was trying very hard not to look like she was sweating in her maternity photos.

There was running.
There was negotiating.
There may have been some arguing. 😂
And there was definitely a very active little boy who had absolutely no interest in my photography timeline.

But somehow… we got these. 🤍

And honestly, that’s family.

It’s not always perfectly posed or peaceful. Sometimes it’s chaotic, sweaty, rushed, and everyone has a different opinion about what should be happening. But in between all of that are these little moments that remind you just how much you love these people.

I’m so proud of the life my son and daughter-in-law are building together and everything they’ve worked through to get here. And watching my grandson become a big brother is going to be pretty damn special.

So here’s to the beautiful chaos of family, chasing sunsets, bribing toddlers, and trying to get just one more good picture. 😂

Sometimes the best family moments happen when you least expect them. 🤍

Family came into town, and they decided to make the most of their time together by booking a family session. What started as a visit turned into an opportunity to pause, laugh, love on each other, and document this season of life together.

Not every family session has to be perfectly planned. Sometimes the most meaningful photos come from those spontaneous moments—the ones you’ll look back on years from now and be so grateful you captured.

So thankful I got to document this sweet family while they were all together. ✨

There are some sessions that feel like more than just a photo shoot… and this is one of them. 🤍

Mia, I have had the absolute honor of photographing you since you were just one year old. Four years of watching you grow, change, explore, and become this beautiful little human has been such a gift.

And while you are absolutely beautiful on the outside, it’s the person you’re becoming that makes me so excited for your future. You are strong, smart, curious, intuitive, and full of personality — and I have a feeling you’re going to run the world someday. ✨

Your mom has trusted me with capturing so many chapters of your life, and along the way, she has also challenged me creatively with different locations, ideas, and photography choices. Every session has been an adventure, and I honestly wouldn’t have it any other way.

From little Mia to the beautiful girl standing in front of my camera today… watching you grow has been one of my favorite parts of being a photographer.

Thank you, Mom, for continuing to trust me with these memories. And Mia, thank you for letting me document just a little piece of your journey. 💕

Life has been so busy lately that I’ve definitely fallen behind on posting… but there was no way I could let this sweet session stay hidden on my camera roll. 🤍
