… special friends!

I don't usually shoot weddings but when my friend, Jeff, asked me to shoot his "Destination Wedding" near Moab, Utah, I couldn't possibly turn it down. We traveled there a month early to scout the area. Do they have the wedding down on the Winding Colorado River? Or should they be married in Arches Nat'l Park?
We finally settled on the small peninsula of land at Dead Horse Point State Park, within Canyonlands Nat'l Park. A dramatic landscape, looking from the clifftop plateau, out into the canyons and the winding Colorado below.
My wife, Sara, even catered the reception afterwards at the campground. It all went so well! The next day included a river rafting trip that we will never forget. I am so fortunate to have been asked to shoot this and am sure to be going back again someday!

We had the great pleasure of watching Kodiak for a few hours yesterday. I call him “Kodie” and introduced him to our home studio for a quick session.
Kodie is currently being fostered by our son and comes from the Riverside Animal Shelter. He is a 5 month old pup that has clearly been abused with burn scars on his forehead and backside plus an injured hind leg.
He has the sweetest disposition, and could use a good, loving forever home.
