Questions for your vendors✨
Before signing any contracts, make sure you walk into your consultations prepared. Here are a few important questions I always recommend couples ask:
✨ THE VENUE
Your venue sets the foundation for the entire day.
• What is the full investment, including service fees, taxes, and deposits?
• What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?
• How many hours are included in the rental?
• Are there restrictions on décor, candles, or installations?
• What is the weather backup plan for outdoor spaces?
📷 PHOTOGRAPHER / VIDEOGRAPHER
These are the memories you’ll keep forever — clarity matters here.
• Can we view a full wedding gallery from start to finish?
• What exactly is included in your collections?
• What is the turnaround time for final photos or films?
• Do you carry backup equipment (and backup plans)?
• Are travel or additional fees included?
🍽️ CATERING
Guest experience is often remembered most through food and service.
• Do you offer a tasting before finalizing the menu?
• Can dietary restrictions and allergies be accommodated?
• How many staff members will be serving on the wedding day?
• Are linens, tableware, and utensils provided?
• What happens to leftover food?
🌸 FLORIST
Florals shape the atmosphere more than couples often realize.
• Can we receive a detailed proposal outlining all arrangements?
• Which flowers are naturally in season for our date?
• Who handles delivery, setup, and teardown?
• Do you offer locally sourced or sustainable options?
• How are changes handled after booking?
🎶 DJ / BAND
The energy of your reception depends on thoughtful planning.
• How do you handle song requests and must-play lists?
• What experience do you have with weddings similar to ours?
• Do you provide your own sound equipment and lighting?
• What is your backup or cancellation plan?
• How do you adapt if timelines shift during the event?
Planning well now means you can be fully present later — soaking in every moment instead of troubleshooting details.
