Follow the leader...

You know, that children's game where you just follow one another around doing as they do?! That's what tonight's session reminded me of as I followed, chased, danced and laughed along with Jordans Mama trying to capture him.

This boy....he is an adventurer through and through. At not even two, he LOVED seeing, splashing and stepping into (so sorry his sneaks got wet!) the water. He very independently walked over the wooden bridge with and without sides and tried his hardest to find fish, birds and plants.

So, while every photo was taken "on-the-go," I ADORE them for they fully capture who this precious boy is RIGHT NOW. A happy explorer...wanting to take in as much beauty as he possibly can. A valuable lesson can be taught by our littles, if we simply allow them to lead us!

Happy almost birthday, Jordan! I LOVED following you around this evening.

Love, adoration, joy.... those are things his face lights up with when he sees, speaks of or holds her. You can tell the feeling is mutual when she looks back at him and her eyes become twice the size.

Makenzie has taken a full trip around the sun, capturing every ounce of sunshine she can and spreading it with her contagious smile and sparking eyes! The once teeny tiny babe who was curled up in the basket below, now stands in it (and apparently is trying to stand/climb on everything!) alone for quite some time! She is little, but my goodness is she strong! The love she and Mason have for each other, and their very FIRST big Furry sister, is unmatched.

You really are the cherry on top....can't wait to celebrate your life with you, precious girl!

Homeschool Portraits

Our last lovely "crew" of the day came dressed to impress and even Miss Hannah was brave enough for photos today! Jameson and Raelynn are TRAINED, orrrr they just wanted to get done and go play because their photos were done in 5 seconds flat! LOVE their smiles, their energy and their willingness to do whatever I ask!

Thank you all for joining me at the creek so last minute.... I didn't think I'd have time for these this year so I'm thrilled we were able to gather and get some of our beautiful homeschool friends photographed this afternoon. Its PURE JOY getting to know so many of you through photography and beyond!

That sweet "little boy" I met all those years ago is now growing right alongside my girls between our homeschool meetups, playdates, youth groups, games etc....and he is NOT looking so "little" any more! Homeschool Portraits!

We had 12 kids show up for our last minute Pop-up aside from my girls and they all flashed their BEST smiles!

First up, "my" Gi and Bri! They were amazing, as always and looked ADORABLE! They kicked off their boots and dipped their toes in the ice-cold water at the very end, too! LOVE that they are homeschooling now and I get to see them more often!

Their love expanded by 9.2 pounds the 15th of April....

Say hello to Logan!! This squishy, teddy-bear of a boy was PERFECT this morning, sleeping nearly his entire session (just blinking twice at the end and not waking until finished!). His soft, gorgeous skin, sweet little lips and little/big hands posed however needed making the session go quickly and smoothly. Big brother, Hayden, was quite interested in ALL the things and clearly is adoring his baby brother already. He loves being by him, checking out the soft blankets and stuffies and making sure Logan is ok. So thankful Hayden is adjusting well.... how wonderful that they have forever friends under the same roof!

BIGGEST congratulations on your precious boy. BOTH of them did absolutely amazing today. It was so wonderful to see you all here on Harmony Hill. You look wonderful! I love the love that pours out of your beautiful family.
