The year is 2015. I’m just learning that I really like to cook and I’m becoming enamored with the world that surrounds the restaurant industry. I’m binge watching the season of and I check his IG and see a gorgeous knife on his profile. It’s from . Immediate follow (obviously).

For SEVEN YEARS I salivate over these knives and lore surrounding them. I keep telling myself I’ll get one when the time is right. The time came, but way differently than I would have ever thought. I make a connection in 2021 with and one of the first projects we work on together is with Jared and Kylie at , , & . Unrelated, but seriously it was one of the hottest days I have ever filmed anything outside. Both cameras overheated twice.

One thing leads to another afterwards and after playing a minor part in launching I make my first short doc with Jared in late 2022 and we make it in 6 festivals and make literal dozens of people cry.

Now the full circle, just launched some really cool new stuff and updated the website and I was able to play a part in that with these photos that I’m pumped about.

TLDR: Say yes to things, learn from other people, and surround yourself with people that are better than you at things. Jared and Kylie are both hard-working, amazing people that Maddie and I can call true friends. 2015-me is very happy.

New work for
I grew up on a farm about 10 miles from this place. It was great to collide some worlds and do what I do best. The amazing folks down there are putting out some mean BBQ and it’s an incredibly nice place to have some time off of the road when you’re traveling down I-65, trucker or not.

Celebrating a Vols and Hogs win with smoked wings tonight. Also I’m SO PUMPED about my knife from . I have been cutting everything I can find. I met Jared and Kylee on a shoot with and have gotten the opportunity to shoot for them some on some other projects (). They are awesome people and create some really impressive kitchen weapons.

It's been a busy last couple of months! Really proud of the work I've been able to hand off and the variety of projects I've worked on. From my staples of food and architecture, to things like gun dogs and headshots. It's been a blast meeting new people and trying out new techniques.

For some other news, I've accepted a full-time job and BWC will be put on the back burner. It's not going away by any means, but my time to operate will be much more limited. Shot the new J. Alexander’s opening this past weekend. It was great to see old colleagues and catch up. I’m especially proud of these photos of the new building. Lots of layers and compositing. Also, a huge thanks to Maddie White for accompanying me and helping out tremendously. Looking forward to what’s next for the business!

New Year, new job, new rig. I’ve been salivating over this camera since it was released and I’m so pumped to have a cinema camera. Really thankful for a great start to the business so I could make this happen. I’m going to need a bunch of hard drive space for all of this 6k raw footage, but that’s a good problem to have. Looking forward to seeing what I can make with this in the coming year!
