There are hundreds of activities to do on a cruise ship.
And yet…
this is what she chooses the most.
The waves.
The motion.
The steady calm of something that never asks anything from her.
People always ask what her favorite part of cruising is.
Not the shows.
Not the pools.
Not the noise.
It’s this.
Standing still.
Watching the ocean move.
My autistic daughter finds her calm here…
and I’ll book a hundred cruises just to give her this moment. 🌊

I’ve faced a lot of hard things.
Nothing matters more than being who my child calls for when it hurts. And don’t worry we got her checked out and her fever is coming down!

Anyone who knows Lili knows she loves pizza; but not just any pizza. It has to be Little Caesars. šŸ•

We’re supporting the best organization in the world to help raise funds so more families like ours can enjoy the simple joys of life, just like this. Every little bit makes a difference.

Deliciousness is on its way! The Autism on the Seas Foundation is running a Little Caesars fundraiser from February 1st - February 28th to raise money for their Dreams Come True grant program. As many of you know, the Autism on the Seas Foundation works tirelessly to provide staff-assisted, life-changing vacations for families living with disabilities. Last year was record-breaking, and in 2026, we want to send even more families on vacation. We need your help to make this happen. There was a time when I thought autism meant our world would get smaller.
And in some ways… at first, it did.
Fewer trips.
Fewer experiences.
More staying home.
More explaining.
More apologizing.
Invites slowly stopped coming.
Some friends disappeared.
Even family didn’t always know how to show up.
Our world got quieter.
Smaller.
Heavier.
Our daughter is nonverbal. She doesn’t experience the world through words… she experiences it through movement, emotion, energy, and moments most people rush past.
And if I’m honest…
There were days I was terrified of what her future would look like.
Then something changed.
Instead of asking,
ā€œWhat will autism take from our lives?ā€
We started asking,
ā€œWhat if autism leads us somewhere extraordinary?ā€
That question changed everything.
We found families like ours.
We found organizations that supported us instead of judging us.
We found people who saw our daughter — not her diagnosis.
And suddenly… our world began to expand again.
We started traveling.
We started chasing experiences.
We started learning how to adventure differently… not less.
And somewhere along the way, I realized something powerful:
There are thousands of families sitting at home right now believing their life has limits because of a diagnosis.
They don’t.
So I created Adventures With Autism.
Not to show perfection.
Not to show highlight reels.
But to show the real, raw, messy, beautiful truth about raising and adventuring with a neurodivergent child.
The meltdowns.
The breakthroughs.
The fears.
The victories most people would never notice…
…but parents like us know mean everything.
My mission is bigger than just sharing our story.
My goal is to reach families across the world — to show them that adventure, travel, joy, growth, and connection are still possible. To replace fear with confidence, isolation with community, and help families step into life instead of stepping back from it.
If our journey can give even one parent hope… it’s worth sharing.
If it can help thousands feel less alone… it’s powerful.
If it can touch millions of lives… then we’re exactly where we’re meant to be.
If you are a parent…
A first responder…
A teacher…
A caregiver…
Or someone who simply wants to understand autism through real life experiences…
I’d love to invite you to follow our journey.
And for those who want to support this mission in a tangible way, we’ve created merchandise that helps spread awareness, start conversations, and support the work we’re doing together.
Because autism didn’t just change our world…
It taught us how big it could become.

Many parents say they would die for their children.
Some even say they would kill for them.
I would do both if I had to.

But the harder question is this:
Would you live for them?
Would you stand in the uncomfortable places?
Would you fight systems that weren’t built for them?
Would you choose patience, advocacy, and exhaustion over silence?

This is my child. Watching the world through glass most days. Feeling everything deeper. Experiencing joy louder and pain quieter; because she’s learned the world doesn’t always listen. She is precious. She is rare. And this world doesn’t always deserve the gentleness she carries.

And yet… I will keep showing up.
I will keep teaching her she belongs.
I will keep making room for her in spaces that try to forget kids like her exist.

Not because it’s easy.
But because she is worth everything.
