Aris & Calixto’s wedding was truly something straight out a movie - Tim Burton’s Co**se Bride to be exact! Their theme was so fun to work with, and was perfect for getting married on The Day of the Dead!! Every detail was hauntingly romantic and so full of heart. Bella Amore with its intimate chandeliers and elegant design made the fairytale complete. Aris was such a sweet and gorgeous bride and Calixto made Jake’s day with his creative and whimsical ideas. We love fun brides and grooms!! These two made the day such a joy and it’s no doubt they were absolutely made for each other! We’re still in awe of their love for each other and can’t wait to share even more from their magical celebration!

Thanks everyone for your input - we are so happy to see so many of you just as excited about this as we are!! I think we will be launching the ordering event this Friday for about 3 weeks so we have time to deliver the gift card in time for Christmas. Lately, we’ve noticed a growing conversation in the photography world about gallery curation, specifically how many photos couples should actually receive from their wedding day.

Between searching for our own wedding photographer a few years ago, and after hearing from many inquiring couples, we realized that it has become very common for high-end photographers to deliver 300–500 wedding images total. And while every photographer has their own philosophy (and that’s totally okay!), we’ve always felt differently even before this became a reality.

For us, if a photo meets our standards and we believe it might hold meaning for you, whether that’s today or 30 years from now, we edit and include it!

Your wedding day is full of fleeting, irreplaceable moments, and we don’t believe in holding them back just to fit a “perfectly curated” number. We still curate your story thoughtfully, but most of our wedding galleries are 800+ fully edited images, giving you room to relive every laugh, tear, and tiny detail.

Because sometimes, you want to see both the wide shot and the close-up. You want to feel that anticipation, the candid in-between moments, the sweet gestures captured in a fraction of a second.

And often times, that same pose feels completely different when you see it from another angle. Sometimes you love the pose but wish you could also see it close up. Sometimes you wish that family portrait was vertical to fit the frame gifted to you.

And sometimes, those small, quiet moments, the ones that would have been curated out for the photographer’s own preferences…end up being the ones that mean the most to you.

We’re not just delivering photos to complete a job. We’re giving you back all the pieces of a day that will never happen again. And we will always believe that’s worth taking the extra mile ❤️

A Look Through the Years 📷

Our logo has quietly evolved every five to six years as our work and style have grown. What began in 2013 as something simple has gradually become more refined and intentional.

This newest version is the biggest change so far. We wanted to keep the heart of the original E&J design that has been with us since the beginning while giving it more elegance and character.

When we began redesigning, we looked back at old vintage silver cameras for inspiration. There is something timeless about the way they were designed, functional, beautiful, and made to endure. That balance of simplicity and detail is what guided this update.

Our Story

One of our most asked questions is, how did you guys get into photography? It’s our favorite story to tell so we thought we’d share it with you!

I started photography in 2010, but anyone who knows me will tell you I ALWAYS had a camera on me. Whether it was taking pictures of my friends for the yearbook before I could even officially enroll in the class, or pictures of my family, I always loved capturing moments. In 2010, I started to take my friends’ senior pictures and decided to make a business out of it. Jake and I never talked in high school, although we knew of each other. Jake took a couple of college photography classes for his graphic design degree and reached out to me when he saw I was getting into photography. He had a book from one of his classes that he really enjoyed that he wanted me to have. Even to a complete stranger he was super helpful! :]

I went off to college for business, and a year into it I get another message from Jake. He had just graduated and was starting on his design website and wanted me to take his head shots. I said yes not thinking much into it. A couple weeks later we were at dinner, talking and smiling nonstop. We stayed well past the restaurant closing. It was the best date either of us have ever had. I found out years later he never really had any desire to get head shots, he just wanted to talk to me. Best ploy ever!

We started dating, and Jake would always play around with my camera. He wanted to teach me things and learn more about it himself. I was getting ready to give up on photography but he pushed me to keep going and to believe in myself. We started to work together on senior pictures, kid pictures, and eventually we started doing weddings.
