Mingus Park has fountains again. Hopefully this will help clean up the pond a bit without hurting the fish population.
The fountains are pretty neat, but I really wasn't expecting them to be as loud as they are. I'll get used to that I guess.

Last couple of pics are from the Elk Creek Falls "Trail". It's more of just a short jaunt from the road to the falls. Not wheel chair accessible, but rather easy for most to enjoy.

Have you ever looked at a photo you took and thought, "Wow, I live here?"
No filters needed for this. Sometimes taking a drive can lead you to amazing places you never realized were so close. This may have been an estimated 60 mile drive from my house, but most of it is considered "service roads" in our forest Douglas County Forest area.
Worth the drive and hike? See for yourself.

Harold and Sid Nichols Park. Beautiful day between the little rain showers. Blue skies, puffy clouds and bright sunlight.
It was an amazing day to be out with my family on a little road trip, putting some miles on the whip and getting off our "little island" for a few hours. 💙
