So, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a Kurt update, so here goes!
He is off immunotherapy treatments because his body needs a break, but they really have worked! His tumor went down from the size of a large softball to about the size of my pinky! For that, we’re so grateful! He had a scan yesterday and it showed that the tumor has not grown anymore since the last scan (and he hasn’t had a treatment for about five months)!
About the only issue he’s had lately (besides getting COVID at Christmas 😐) has been an increasing Billirubin level (causes jaundice and fatigue). Sooooo, he is currently admitted at Vanderbilt for a few days to get all that straightened out. They’re doing ultrasounds, an MRI, and giving him stout steroids to combat the issue, so hopefully they’ll get him to a place where he has energy and starts to feel good! He is, rightfully so, just sick and tired of feeling sick and tired.
He IS in good spirits, but is bored lol. He messes with the nurses and has jokes, which makes sense because his dad is Wilbur (for those who know Wilbur). I had to come home today, so he’s alone at the moment; feel free to shoot him a text or whatever if you would like to do so. Prayers are working, so please continue them! 💚💚
