Meet The Thorns, aka Nana + Papa

Pete and Sandra live in Greenbrier, Arkansas in the home he built (yes, he built) 50 years ago. They are Greenbrier natives as Pete was born “right down the road.” They showed me around their extensive gardening operation and had me crying actual tears from laughing so hard.

Betty Sue Black Pittman Hargrove: At Home

She is the woman that would brave driving Little Rock traffic every other weekend to come see us. She is the woman that would take care of us while mom worked. She is the woman that learned how to quilt simply because I thought it would be a neat project. She is the woman that has faithfully played the piano for her church every Sunday. She is the woman who can take significant credit for raising me and my siblings.

She is my Granny and I love her to pieces. She is selfless and loves unconditionally. Of COURSE she was my very first Legacy Session. I can’t wait to share the rest of her stories. :)

Jo Baby got her big sister badge!!

So often it’s the mom who is always behind the camera, but in the Lyle household, dad is the documentary/film extraordinaire. (And he genuinely loves doing it.)

I was honored when he asked me to take family portraits at their home before Baby B got here!

The Lyles on Film 🎞️

Turns out Walter lended me his very sick and cool Mamiya several months ago so I could be competent just in time for maternity photos!! (Smart)

You don’t often get to have a friend like Walter in the creative space. To encourage, teach, AND provide the tools needed to grow is unheard of. Thank you for entrusting me with capturing your growing family. :’)
