I just have to share this because it was a wonderful surprise and the kindest gesture and gift given directly from God. And I'll tell you why it feels like it's directly from God.
When I needed someone and I was so very lost in my life and faith, God put someone in my life that somehow knew I needed help in my life. I had known her for a few years, but we were never close.
But then, I found myself in a pit of despair, sort of the accumulation of years and years of pain and suffering and being lost really. I was internally feeling so alone and defeated and full of shame. And out of nowhere, someone I knew but didn't know popped in with a hand stretched out offering kindness and an ear to listen and some guidance.
That guidance led me to what I needed most and didn't think I was worthy of. I had turned my back long ago and had tried as hard as possible to control everything in my life because I believed I was strong enough myself to fix things and get through life. I was so wrong.
And this is when I decided to listen and stop and turn around. And there He was in the form of a kind face and warm smile who was the vessel He used to finally take His hand and say, "You were right all along, and I am so sorry I turned away in the first place."
Fast forward to today. In the mail today, this kind soul and invaluable friend and sister-in-Christ, sent me this Mother's Day card that really made my heart explode with joy! This gesture from her has shown me that there are true friendships and God-given friendships and a humanity that deserves to be honored and recognized.
So this is to honor and thank this amazing woman for stepping into my life at just the right moment when I needed a friend the most and helping to change my life and sending me the message that God told her to send to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! 😘🫂🙏✝️
