GROW // There is no better feeling than harvesting fresh fruits and veggies from your own backyard!

When deciding to put in the garden and orchard Trevor and I went back and forth a lot on the pros and cons, money being a big one- was it worth the cost of water & supplies, and our time, for something we could essentially buy at the store…bottom line YES!!! 🎉

1. Being able to walk into the yard and pick your veggies for dinner is so fun! We have also loved enjoying our fruit as a snack or with a little ice cream for dessert 🌽🍑🤤

2. It’s basically like having a live in therapist, any time I need to clear my head you’ll find me tending to the garden, or just sitting out there and enjoying the view. 👩🏼‍🌾 🌅

3. It made a really ugly part of our yard not only useful, but beautiful! 😍

5. When we have kids, I cannot wait to teach them to love nature, our backyard, gardening, and avoiding screens as much as possible! I’m excited for them to grow up in our backyard oasis! 👧🏼📵🌳

6. I rarely feel wasteful in the kitchen! We have a compost area which will help feed our garden! It has taken a lot of fruit and veggie scraps and other yard waste out of the landfill! 🙅🏼‍♀️

FOCUS // As I get back into routine in my office after a mini honeymoon with my Husband in Santa Cruz, today my main goal is Focus, and more specifically on all the small things! 🧘🏻‍♀️

My new website is going live tonight, and I have been busy making sure all the finishing touches are in order! 🥳

I am also getting back to every single little detailed email that I have received while away, so if you’ve been waiting patiently for me to return to the office- your email is coming back today! 📧

Finally, focusing on finishing off my day by getting back to a good to do list and an organized office so that I can have a successful week ahead! ✔️

Tomorrow I’ll head back into my editing cave and edit away on three weddings I have been working on!! 🖥

Mini Mooning // Out of the Office

After getting married over 5 months ago, we finally took Friday off early and cruised down the coast in the Jeep to Santa Cruz for the weekend! We will finally be mini honeymooning for the weekend and I will be out of the office until Tuesday because this laptop is going away for the weekend✌🏼

GUILTY // I have a confession to make. Yesterday, I didn’t answer any emails. None. Zero. 🙈

Does anyone else ever do this? Just a day where you get to focus on other things within your business, and not worry about responding for just one day. 😮‍💨

As a photographer and small business owner, we wear many hats and switch between many skills. We are in the office responding to clients, working on upcoming weddings with brides to be, editing photos, marketing, on location at sessions and weddings, working with other vendors, the list goes on and on! 📷

It’s always my goal to serve each and everyone of my clients to the best of my ability. But I will say that it was a much needed mental break, and for those who are waiting for a response, it’s coming! But thank you for being okay with a small delay as my brain needed a break! 🧠🤗

Not One But TWO // I am beyond excited to be celebrating not one, but two AWP couples getting married today!!! 🙌🏼

While I will be capturing Kendall and Austin’s wedding day, our associate team will be shooting Richell & Steve tying the knot!! I cannot wait to share the magic we make today ✨

Anyone else still struggling with keeping up with social media? 🙋🏼‍♀️

I love cheering on my friends and clients and seeing what they are up to, and social media has definitely helped during social distancing, but man it is hard to keep up! I might not be popping up in your daily feed anymore, but I am trying to post in my story daily. I’ll get back into the swing of things eventually, but for now I’m loving spending less time on my phone and more time outside! Don’t worry, I am still working just as hard behind the scenes emailing, editing, and in person at sessions!
