Spring is one of my favorite seasons, when warm rains wash away the last remnants of winter snow and flowers start to bloom. I captured this photo of Preston Monk during spring, and his unbridled spirit was inspiring as he ran with the other dogs. Dogs can teach us a lot, I think.

I cherish every moment with my dogs, and I've come to realize how quickly time passes as they age. Their fur turns silver, our walks become shorter, and I'm reminded to make the most of our time together. After losing my previous dog at 14, I made a promise to myself to capture as many photos as possible of my future dogs, both young and old. This inspired me to start a new photography project called Silver Sessions, celebrating the precious time we share with our aging companions. This is my Silver, George, 13 years old. I'm so thankful for every day we have together. Please share your silver-furred pups photos too.🐾
