One thing I wish more moms knew before their maternity session...
You don't have to know what you're doing.
Seriously.
You don't need to practice poses in the mirror, worry about where your hands go, or stress about whether your partner will be "good at photos."
My job is to guide you every step of the way.
These images are a perfect example. If I had told these two to simply stand there and smile at the camera, the photo would have felt completely different. Instead, I focus on creating connection. A simple prompt, a shared laugh, a quiet moment between the two of them.
That's where the magic happens.
For photographers, this is your reminder that clients rarely remember the pose. They remember how you made them feel. The technical side matters, but creating an environment where people can relax and be themselves is what turns a good image into a meaningful one.
For moms, know that you don't need to show up feeling confident in front of the camera. That's my job. You just need to show up ready to celebrate this season of life.
The rest, we'll create together. 🤍
