I loved everything about this session. Not only is mom a high school friend and cross country teammate, but her middle kiddo was one of the first newborns I photographed. It was really special to be invited back to photograph her this family’s newest addition!

This peanut was so expressive and awake!

DANCING!

One of the things I love about second shooting is that I’m not the one capturing the just-have shots of key moments and that lets me a bit more adventurous with lighting and composition and I think it’s so fun!

Scroll through to see one of my all-time favorite shots to grab as a second shooter: the groom watching the father-daughter dance. The amount of love in their eyes is usually just so touching. I also loved some of these starbursts I was playing with.
