Senior Sunday // Meet Cash

Senior year is full of dreaming about what’s next. New adventures, new opportunities, and a future that’s just waiting to unfold. But before you rush into what’s next, don’t forget to pause and be still in the places that helped make you, well, you.

For Cash, that meant stepping into the theater. 🎭 A place where he has spent so much of his time, poured his creativity into something he loves, and grown not only as a performer, but as the young man he is today. It felt like the perfect place to celebrate this chapter of his story.

So far, my Class of 2027 seniors have all been guys, and I have absolutely loved getting to see how different and unique each session can be. That’s one of my favorite parts of senior photography, no two stories are ever the same, and no two sessions should be either.

A huge thank you to Elbert Theatre for welcoming us and allowing us the opportunity to capture Cash authentically and boldly, in a place that means so much to him. 🎭❤️

💛 WHY THESE MINIS MATTER. 💛

I want to tell you about Christina.

I was 10 years old, a little fifth grader, when a sassy middle schooler was introduced to my family by a mutual family friend. And let’s be honest, at 10 years old, the difference between elementary school and middle school felt HUGE.

Little did I know that this sassy, spunky girl would quickly become one of the most important people in my life.

She became my go-to for middle school advice. She reminded me of my worth when boys were mean. She took me on adventures. She made me laugh until my stomach hurt. She was there for some of my favorite memories and some of the hardest moments of my life.

And somehow, through all of the growing up, changing, and different seasons of life, she remained my person. My soul sister. My forever friend.

In July of 2020, Christina was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer that is most commonly diagnosed in children age four and under.
Christina was 23. I share that because I want you to understand just how much the word rare can change a family's world. My own family knows what it feels like to navigate the unknown of a medical rarity, so I understood in a very personal way the uncertainty Christina and her family were facing. The questions. The searching for answers. The wondering if you're doing enough. The wishing you could find someone who had walked this exact road before you.

And yet, Christina was still Christina.

Fierce. Honest. Spunky. Full of life.

Even while fighting for her own health, she cared deeply about children and families facing childhood cancer. One of the very last conversations we had was about the two of us working together on a Childhood Cancer Awareness fundraiser. And we completed that social media campaign together.

So these minis are my way of continuing where we left off. 💛

And this is why I hope you book one:
* Yes, you'll leave with beautiful photographs.
* Yes, we'll spend an evening surrounded by sunflowers at Bold Spring Blooms.
* Yes, you'll have images of your people to hold onto for years to come.

But your session is also doing something else, something so much greater than beautiful images. Every $100 session fee will be donated directly to the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Christina's honor. Every tip will be donated, too.

Your family photos can help another family.

Your session can help provide care, resources, and support to children who are fighting a battle they never should have had to face.

Your photographs can carry a little bit of weight for someone else.

And that is the kind of photography I believe in. Because photographs are not just pretty pictures. They are pieces of people. They are reminders of who we loved, where we were, what we were celebrating, and what mattered to us.

I know that because I have photographs of Christina.
Photographs of us being young and carefree. Photoshoots in my parents' front yard. All of our adventures documented. The photographs show how she LIVED.

That is why this means so much to me.

So if you've been thinking about booking, I hope you do. Not because you need another set of family photos. Not because you have to have the perfect outfits or perfectly behaved kids. But because you can make memories with your people, walk away with photographs you'll treasure, and know that your session fee is helping a child and family fighting childhood cancer.

That's a pretty beautiful reason to take pictures. 💛

And if you can't book a session, you can still help.
* Share this post
* Tell a friend
* Learn about childhood cancer.
* Keep children and families fighting cancer in your prayers. Send some good into the world.

There are so many ways to carry a little weight, this is mine.

Bailey was such a special part of my teenage years, truly like the big sister I never had. She coached my JV cheerleading team, took me to my first concert (Luke Bryan Farm Tour will forever be a core memory), and taught me how to cook some of my favorite meals.

Life creates different seasons, but some people leave an impact that never fades. Getting to watch Bailey become a mama has been such a gift. The last time I photographed their family, she was expecting their oldest. Now she and Lane have three incredible kiddos who are funny, energetic, determined, and so clearly loved.

And this is why I LOVE what I do. Photography is so much more than showing up with a camera. It’s about honoring stories, relationships, and the seasons of life that deserve to be remembered. So thankful I got to preserve this one.

Senior Sunday // Meet Jordyn

Senior year is full of dreaming about what’s next. New adventures, new opportunities, and a future that’s just waiting to unfold. But before you rush into what’s next, don’t forget to pause and be still in the place that made you, well, you.

For Jordyn, that meant celebrating the hometown that helped shape her story. From the historic Butts County Courthouse, to Red Devil Hill where she spent Friday nights cheering under the lights, to Jackson High School the place that watched her grow into the incredible young woman she is today, every stop held a piece of her story.

As exciting as what’s next may be, there’s something so special about honoring where you’ve been. Getting to preserve both the places and the memories that shaped this season is one of my favorite parts of senior sessions.

Your hometown may not be where your story ends, but it will always be where it began. ❤️

💛 Childhood Cancer Awareness Mini Sessions are back. 💛

These sessions are held in honor of my childhood best friend and soul sister, Christina Galbreath.

At just 23 years old, Christina was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, a rare childhood cancer. Even while fighting cancer herself, she was passionate about raising awareness and giving back to children and families facing the same journey. One of the very last conversations we had centered around us working a Childhood Cancer Awareness fundraiser together.

These mini sessions are my way of continuing where we left off.

🌻 Every $100 session fee will be donated to the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in Christina's honor. Every tip will be donated as well.

A huge thank you to Kalie Blevins of Bold Spring Blooms for opening her beautiful flower farm and planting extra sunflowers in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. I truly couldn't imagine a more meaningful place for these sessions.

Join me on Saturday, September 26, for beautiful portraits that give back.

Thank you for helping me honor Christina's legacy and support children and families fighting childhood cancer. For Christina. Always. 🌻

The Prestwood family’s morning session in downtown Madison was one of those sessions that felt extra special. We planned their photos around Shepard’s routine, and it couldn’t have been more perfect; the quiet streets, the soft morning light, and a little guy with the sweetest personality and the BLUEST of eyes 🥹.

This session also held a special place in my heart because Shepard and my own daughter share a birthday month. Getting to see him at the same age as my little girl and watch him grow, explore, and flourish was such a beautiful reminder of how quickly these seasons move.

Family photos aren’t just about documenting what your family looks like right now, they’re about remembering how this season felt. The little hands, the drool, the smiles, and the all the tiny details you never want to forget.

So thankful I got to preserve this chapter for the Prestwood family of three 🤍

Senior Sunday // Meet Maddie

I’ve had the joy of photographing Maddie since she was a little girl, and now she’s thriving in college. Watching my clients grow through the years is one of the greatest gifts this job has given me.

Not to forget to mention, a little location love, too. 🌻 These portraits were taken at Almosta Farm and Depot , my favorite Middle Georgia photography venue. Owned by my incredible in-laws, every corner of the property has been thoughtfully designed with photographers in mind, and their new zinnia field is absolutely stunning. I already know fall is going to be beautiful out there!

If you’re a rising senior or looking for a charming location for your next family session, I’d love to meet you at Almosta Farm & Depot.

Congratulations, Maddie! I’m so proud of you and can’t wait to see where life takes you next. ❤️

Senior Sunday // Meet Blake

A STUNNING Senior who chose a Summer portrait experience, and I could not have loved this session more.

The first half of her session was at one of my favorite UGA locations, the Founders Memorial Garden. There is something so special about this space; the quiet paths, the flowers in bloom, and the ability to slow down and truly enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.

Senior photos are about so much more than just the final images. They are about capturing confidence, personality, and the person you have become before stepping into your next chapter. Blake absolutely brought that energy, and I am so excited to share more from her session.

If you’re a Class of 2027 senior (or a parent of one!), now is the perfect time to start planning your senior portrait experience. Check the link in bio to book!

The sweetest seasons are the ones that pass by the quickest. ❤️

Baby Easton’s in-home newborn session was a reminder of why I love documenting these moments so much; not just the tiny details, but the story of those first days at home. The sleepy snuggles in the nursery, the little outfit changes after spit ups, the every-three-hour feeds, and parents finding their footing in this brand new chapter. Because this season isn’t about perfection. It’s about the little moments that become the memories you never want to forget.

Easton was so prayed for and is so incredibly loved. Watching Ashleigh and Michael step into parenthood has been such a beautiful reminder of God’s goodness, and it was such an honor to capture this beginning for their family.

And to all the sweet mamas currently growing their families; while I have been loving all of the maternity sessions on my calendar, I also offer in-home newborn sessions to help preserve those first days once baby arrives. Those tiny moments are fleeting, but they are so worth remembering.

To the dads who carry little hands on their shoulders, wipe tears, tell the best stories, and make their children feel safe in a big world, Happy Father’s Day.

Getting to witness and preserve these relationships is one of my greatest privileges as a photographer. This one photographed is especially close to my heart. Watching my husband become the father our daughter adores has been one of life’s sweetest gifts.

Here’s to the fathers, grandfathers, bonus dads, and father figures who show up every day with love, patience, and strength. The moments may seem ordinary now, but they are the memories your children will cherish forever.

Happy Father’s Day. ❤️
