Usually when a friend asks me to photograph their wedding, I tell them no. I’d rather be part of the moment and not the one capturing it. Luckily Tiffany Wheeler and Ryan Osner were very convincing.

A wedding so fun I couldn’t help but bust out some bangers.

One of the highlights of photographing the Bizarre Bazaar Tattoo Con was meeting and photographing the legendary scottsterlingtattoomachines.com

When I first stepped foot into the tattoo industry as a collector and photographer, I was immediately drawn to the photos of all the old head trad guys. Photos of beautiful body suits and studios with flash from floor to ceiling. I would see those pictures and always ask myself “who took this?” Who was the person behind the lens that caught these legendary moments and got to be in the rooms where the magic happened?

Here I am a few years later, chasing the goal to be that person - the one documenting tattoo history as it happens. And my friends, it’s going well. The icing on the cake is having friends like Meg McAtee Matty and Kakesu Tattoo who get to experience and carry those pieces of history and choose me to capture the moment.

The industry is so different now than it stared as, and I’m sure that’s magnified if you are a Tattooer living and breathing the industry. It feels like photo and video has become nothing but an advertisement or an ego boost. But I’m confident there are people that love and appreciate the documentation. They love the history. And those are my people.

And just like that, the Bizarre Bazaar Tattoo Con convention in Marietta, Ohio came to a close. It was such an incredible weekend, filled with excellent tattoos, great entertainment, and lots of new and old friends. Can’t wait until next year.
