Slow season as a small business owner is something I’ve come to learn is part of the rhythm of my year. And every start of the busier season never fails to leave me feeling renewed in the best way.
Winter comes and the inquiries slow down, my routine shifts, and everything just feels a little softer, a little slower.
And if I’m being honest, every slow season I have to lightly talk myself off a ledge convincing myself my business isn’t dead 😅 (other creatives… I know you get it)
And then, like the seasons always do, things start to shift again.
Winter starts to turn into spring, and I still get that familiar feeling like, did I forget how to do this? Did I lose my rhythm? My eye? My creativity?
Just like the world warming up after a long winter, I remind myself that this quiet season was anything but empty, it was restorative. It made space for new energy, new inspiration, and a fresh perspective.
And then without fail, it all comes back. The creativity starts flowing, ideas feel exciting again, and I find my groove in a way that feels even more aligned than before.
Downtime is so important. It gives me room to reset and come back better.
I’m just so excited and grateful to step into this season. I’m inspired and ready to serve my clients in such a fresh way 🤍
