Hi friends 🤍
This one feels bittersweet to share.
(UPDATE / EDIT: guys love you all I’m getting 1000 messages on all platforms after posting this, I kindly ask you email me at [email protected] I will not be able to track each of these messages in all platforms lol I’m just me….over here floating on hopes and dreams trying to run this thing solo I don’t want to miss anyone lol thank you kindly 😂😅💛)
FIRST I’m not closing my business….i repeat I’m not CLOSING lol before anyone skips ahead 😂💛 however I will no longer have a the physical brick-and-mortar studio by July 1st in Columbus.
As my career has grown and shifted so many ways in the last two years, I’ve stepped into a new full time position with an hour commute through the week, and with that, I’ve had to take a hard look at my capacity. Working seven days a week just isn’t sustainable and I want to make sure I’m showing up fully, both for my family, myself, and for each of you.
So here’s what’s ahead:
Starting in June, I’ll be focusing primarily on outdoor sessions and seasonal minis (which I’m honestly so excited about this is where my heart has been pulling me more and more…that golden light and playful story telling aspect of photography)
For STUDIO sessions / STUDIO style newborns, I’ll still be offering a limited number of each month at a beautiful space in North Vernon, along with in-home newborn sessions for my local families. Because these will be more limited, priority booking will be given to repeat clients and schedules will be very very limited ( 1 weekend a month for studio)
This isn’t an ending so much as it is a shift for me to still do what I love… still see the clients I have loved working with for over a decade but ensure I’m still showing up with quality n both my careers. I hope this choice will allow me to continue creating in a way that feels sustainable, intentional, and full of heart not burnout. I have struggled with turn around times, staying on top of inboxes and making sure everyone has exactly what they need….and I have to find a way to balance everything / not compromise any clients experience while being a one woman show here, full time marketing director in new Albany plus mom and wife / human being.
In summary I took on too much and I have to scale back for quality control and sanity 🫠
Thank you for growing with me, trusting me, and allowing me into your lives in such meaningful ways. That part isn’t going anywhere.
I’m still here, just in a new rhythm ✨
