I will say, at least 5 years later, they’re finally starting the conversation about moving my classroom and lab. Unfortunately it’s from the basement of one old building to the basement of another. The other one is dry though. Guess there’s a “positive”. May be too late for me. We’ll see how the rest of the school year starts to unwind.

People spend their 20s trying to become who they think they’re supposed to be.

Your 30s often become a season of building.

You stop asking for permission to become who you’ve always been.

Maybe that’s why so many people say life begins at 40.

Not because everything suddenly becomes easier…
But because you’re finally living from experience instead of expectation.

Every setback taught you something.
Every heartbreak refined you.
Every failure redirected you.
Every season that almost broke you quietly built the person you’re becoming.

The caterpillar spends its life consuming.

The cocoon spends its time transforming.

The butterfly doesn’t apologize for flying.

Some of the people we admire most didn’t find their greatest work until later in life.
They simply kept becoming.

If you’re approaching 40, or already there, don’t see it as the end of youth.

See it as the beginning of clarity.

The best version of you isn’t behind you.

It’s the one that’s finally free enough to be itself.

You’re not running out of time.
