A few weeks ago I launched The Amelia Project, a photography initiative offering free sessions to families with a child facing a life‑threatening condition. It has already brought me so much joy and purpose.

After my daughter Amelia’s diagnosis of Friedreich’s ataxia, it became even more clear how precious photographs are. They hold fragments of time, comfort and memory when you need them most. Being able to gift that to other families facing an uncertain future means the world to me.

So far I’ve completed five sessions, and I’ve partnered with several wonderful photographers in the area to bring this gift to as many people as possible. I will be accepting two more sessions for The Amelia Project in June and July.

I wanted to share an idea that just came into my mind driving to shoots yesterday that I’m incredible excited to share with you.
Since my daughter was diagnosed with Friedreich’s ataxia, the way I look at photographs has completely changed.
I’ve found myself going back through old photos more often than ever, feeling so grateful that I have those memories to look back on, especially as her disease progresses.

I want to give that same gift to other families that are facing the threat of a future without their child.

I’m offering 5 completely free photography sessions to families who have children facing a terminal or life-threatening illness. No cost, no expectations. Just a chance to capture your family as you are, in this moment, together.
My goal is simply to create images that you can hold onto forever.

I’m calling this the Amelia Project after my daughter, Amelia.

We just got back from the most extraordinary trip to Japan. Since Amelia's Friedreich's ataxia diagnosis, travel has become our quiet rebellion against what the disease tries to take. It is a sacred pause in time, where the weight of prognosis loosens its grip. I am grateful for these momentary escapes from reality where we can really live in the present and enjoy every second of each other.

Now that we are back, it's time to get back outdoors for the 2026 season! All mini sessions that are left are up under my shop tab. Fall is almost completely booked! You can message for full session and senior availability. Looking forward to seeing so many of you in the near future.
