Do you know what’s always in style? YOU. Your joy. The way you laugh so hard you cry when your children break out their best dance moves. Your four-year-old’s superhero cape they insist on wearing every single place you go. Dad‘s piggyback rides and tickle fights.
As a photographer and creative, the world feels loud. Hopping on Instagram feels draining instead of inspiring. There’s so many other photographers out there and it is easy to lose. What makes you “you”. So I’ve stayed quiet. I’ve observed and studied what I saw, and took it all in, and I’ve realized so much more about myself as an artist.
I’m here for the people not the light. I love documenting your family in your home because it is special to you, not because of what is “trendy” right now. Not because it is “perfectly aesthetic”, because my true aesthetic is your joy. I love leaning into the pieces of your family that are truly you. Your home is part of your story, and I want you to embrace it. I’m not going to choose a blank wall next to a window with good light just for the sake of a certain aesthetic. I want the books scattered on the floor, sippy cups lying on the couch, and your child’s favorite stuffy they never leave the house without. I want your old wooden cabinets you’ve been dying to refinish, the colorful and chaotic playrooms, your hand me down couch you’ve had since before you got married, and all the corners of your home that hold your most precious memories.
Let’s have a tea party. Let’s play in the sprinkler. Let’s eat popsicles on your front steps. Let’s have a dance party. Let’s make breakfast together and let your kids show me all their favorite toys. Let me into your life to capture all your JOY. After all, life is colorful, not curated. Let’s document your everyday magic, together.
