Celebrating five years of Meredith Maag Photography 🥹

Purposefully, launched on Mother’s Day weekend, held by memory and meaning— a way to lean into both the joy and grief that defines my motherhood.

Words fall short in expressing how much I truly cherish motherhood and adore my darling little Hattie. And still, parenting without my own mom has been one of the hardest parts of this journey. My mom was extraordinary— warm, selfless, deeply present. True beauty and grace— the kind of person who made people feel at home just by being near her.

And what I have of her now lives in photographs.

That truth quietly became the heart of my work.

It changed the way I see everything— the warmth children find in their mother’s arms, the safety in her presence, the way her love fills their entire world.

And as a mother, I understand the ache of wanting to hold onto it all— the small details, the everyday beauty, the way it feels to live inside a season you already know you’ll miss.

So whether you’ve been here since the very beginning or recently found your way to this little corner of mine— thank you for being here. I hope your Mother’s Day weekend is filled with all your favorite things 🤍

Twin newborns. Two older siblings. Two tired-but-glowing parents. This could sound like a lot, yet it was one of the most peaceful sessions I’ve ever had.

We paused and fed babies when they were hungry. We took breaks when the big kids needed them, and mom + dad trusted me to dress their entire family from the studio wardrobe and hold the vision while they held their 9-day-old sweet baby girls.

That kind of partnership is everything— realizing there’s no falling behind, no rushing. Just your real life, beautifully documented.

This is what newborn sessions with me look like— whether you have one baby or four. Unhurried, intentional, and taken care of from the moment you arrive.

You don’t have to have it all together. You just show up and I take care of the rest. 🤍

You’re in it all day— holding them, feeding them, carrying them… and still, somehow, it’s already changing.

The weight of them on your hip.
The way they reach for you without thinking.
The quiet little in-between moments that no one else really sees.

These are the moments worth holding onto— the ones we want etched on our mama hearts forever.

When we’re in it, it doesn’t feel like something we could ever forget— but as time passes, we do.

Which is why these special moments deserve to be held onto in a way that lasts 📸

This maternity session marked the beginning of a membership year with this sweet family.

Over the past few years, I’ve really fallen in love with my session films and the way they capture emotion in a way still photos simply can’t. Starting this year, memberships now include a little film from each of our four sessions together.

At the end of your membership, those films are woven together into one video— allowing you to relive this season of your family’s life for years to come.

While session films are included with a membership, they’re also available as an add-on to a Signature Session or can be booked on their own.
