Hey Shutter Up CoMO fam! I’m taking a semi-permanent break from the biz while I finish my degree and add a new little one to our family. All current and paid contracts are still valid and will be completed. — ❤️Amber

Wrapping up the 2023 season.

With a heart full of so much gratitude I appreciate every single one of my clients from this year. I am going to continue to dial back in the coming year.

We have a lot going on right now. I haven't shared with many but Joe and I are going through IVF attempting to expand our family by one more... I am working full time during the day, part time in the evenings (sometimes), going to school (graduating for the 2nd time in Spring '24), spending the time I do have with my family is so very important.

I don't think I will ever completely step away from photography however, at least for now... I am not advertising any new services. I will continue to offer family and little ones sessions as I have availability.

Pricing for 2024 will not be changing.

I know I haven't posted in awhile.... so here are some of my lovely families that I have had the honor of capturing memories for this last part of 2023.

Booked my last wedding EVER for this year. This year has come with a lot of changes and new commitments. I haven't shared this with a lot but I lost my job about 5 months after we bought our house and 1 week after I purchased my new truck. When getting a new job I couldn't find anything to get me back to the pay I was accustomed to with those commitments I had been anticipating to be able to afford.

We tried to make things work as best we could but I am now working 2 jobs as well as doing photography just to try to make ends meet . That being said... I have to have time with my family also and weddings take up a lot of time that I just don't have anymore.

Thank you all for continuing to support Shutter Up CoMO for your family sessions! I hope to see you all again soon!

This beautiful, wonderful amazing soul is so much more than I can put into words. When we moved to Columbia when I was 7... she was my teacher. As I grew up I went back to visit her every year before school started and she was always happy to see me. When I moved on to middle school I remember walking into her room and she jumped down off her stool and exclaimed "MY BABY!" She has by far been the teacher that has been the most significant in my life. I have had the honor of taking both of her children's wedding photos. I have gotten to see their families grow and I could not be more honored to have gotten a chance to witness and capture memories for them. Recently she published a book and I was able to come and take photos for her book launch. My heart is so full of joy and admiration for her. Congratulations Mrs. Koenig! I am so incredibly proud of you!

We updated our family photos on Easter and I just cannot believe how much these tiny humans have changed... My heart is growing right along with them. They are good people... (rotten sometimes)... but I am darn proud of the people they are becoming. I am doing my best to teach them grace and patience along with understanding and acceptance. Joe and I are so exceptionally lucky to have them.

This sweet couple is getting MARRIED! They met at The Blue Note so we incorporated it into their engagement photos! The wind was a little bit of a beast but we made it work!
