Dylan and Katelyn’s wedding is one I’ll carry with me for a long time.
There was something incredibly tender about the way their day unfolded — the kind of beauty you don’t just see, you feel. From the quiet, emotional moments before the ceremony to the way their families and friends wrapped around them with so much love… every part of their story felt intentional, heartfelt, and full of meaning.

What moved me most was the way they looked at each other. That soft, steady, “this is my person” kind of love. You could see years of hope, prayer, and devotion in every glance they shared. Their joy wasn’t loud — it was deep, grounded, and overflowing in the sweetest ways.

I loved watching them love their people so well, taking time to be present, to laugh, to hold onto every moment. And I loved watching their people love them right back — with tears, with hugs, with pride, with gratitude for the kind of love they’ve found in each other.

It was an honor to capture their story through my lens… to freeze the emotions, the details, the little in-between moments that often go unnoticed but mean everything.

These two were such a joy to capture — full of laughter, natural connection, and sweet little moments that made my photographer heart so happy.

We wandered through the beach town charm Biloxi has to offer, chasing good light and even better vibes. You can just feel the love between them in every shot. 😍

Photography Tip: Shooting in Full Sunlight

While I personally prefer shooting in the late afternoon or early evening—when the light is softer and I don't have to battle harsh shadows or hot spots—sometimes that ideal timing just isn’t an option.

Take prom mini sessions, for example. I’m often working around hair and makeup appointments, dinner reservations, and a full schedule of couples. This usually means starting around noon and shooting well into the afternoon, right when the sun is high overhead.

Shooting in full sun can definitely be a challenge, but here’s a helpful tip: find an open shaded area with minimal hot spots and position your subject there. As the sun shifts, the light will change—so be flexible and ready to adjust. Don’t hesitate to ask your subject to take a small step in one direction or another. They trust you to make them look their best!

In the photo I took above, I noticed a harsh hot spot on the young man’s face and head. I simply asked the couple to stay in their pose and take one step to the left—and what a difference that small shift made!

Remember, as the sun moves, so does your shade. Keep scanning for those soft, even lighting spots, and don’t be afraid to reposition as needed.

Full sun doesn’t have to be intimidating—you’ve got this!

Ahh, young love! 😍 There’s just something so sweet about high school sweethearts, and this senior session was full of all the giggles, inside jokes, and stolen glances that make young love so special. Not to mention the camera just loves them both. 📸

A few months ago, I had the absolute joy of capturing the sweetest moments between a precious newborn girl and her big sister. 💕 Watching their bond unfold—even at such an early stage—was heartwarming and magical.

Big sister was already stepping into her new role with so much love and pride, gently holding and adoring her little partner-in-crime-to-be. And the newborn? An absolute angel, full of peaceful snuggles and tiny, perfect details that make your heart melt. 🍼✨

There’s something so magical about these moments—the sleepy little stretches, the softest cheeks, and those delicate fingers that seem to hold the world’s biggest dreams. As I clicked away, I couldn’t help but think about how this stage is so fleeting, but these memories will last a lifetime.

Y’all this senior session was EVERYTHING!!

I had the best time photographing Heidi Thornhill in the middle of wildflowers 🌺🌸, sunflowers 🌻, and cotton fields. I am still obsessed with how these turned out, it was like we stepped into a dream.
