For those who don't use a regular camera, I have struggled to learn and get lighting right in all kinds of situations in the dreaded "manual" mode. Not only that, but when you try to take a photo of a TINY creature 30 ft away with a long lens, it can be a struggle. I usually try to use auto focus, BUT because my precious hummies move SOO quickly I end up with ALOT of clear trees hundreds of feet behind the stinker who has already hovered just out of focus! SO, this morning, I worked with my manual focus---tricky to do quickly and for my old eyes to focus quickly enough to capture these speedy little guys. Having said alll that, I'm pretty happy that I was able to capture a few! So grateful I get to have the time to do what I love.

So I walked to the foggy reservoir yesterday morning, and sat there watching the eagle do absolutely nothing on the tree...

So I walked to the foggy reservoir yesterday morning, and sat there watching the eagle do absolutely nothing on the tree across from me. It was so foggy, a photo of him was pretty much a no go. So instead I looked around and found beauty in the grass. I love how God "clothes the flowers of the field" and how he bejewels the grass with dew lit up by the dawn. So lovely...so many things to appreciate in our broken world
