Here's a little throwback to grad pics with this lovely human! Without my time here at USC, I wouldn't of had the pleasure of meeting such an extraordinary person. With graduation approaching, take the time to truly relish the last few moments you have, and spend them with the people that take up the most room in your heart.

Spent some much needed quality time with this dear pal of mine at one of his favorite spots in our hometown. Here's a few words he'd like to share with you all:
"I think the biggest thing that we're called to do in this world is love one another. It's the most difficult thing, but also the easiest thing. It's difficult because humans are so hateful towards each other, usually for no reason. But It's easy because humans are an amazing species. The heros; those fighting for others they dont even know, those that stand up for those who are oppressed, those that have the empathy to see the world in different ways. For each evil person in this world, I believe there are five wonderful people. What I've learned in my short time here, is that people are usually good. I believe that with all my heart. Just love as much as you can."

This afternoon, a group of USC students went to visit a local school in the city of Reggio Emilia, Italy. During our visit, I was able to capture this special moment between Victoria and one of the students. After completing our visit, Victoria says: "While others are drinking wine and shopping, I'm spending time with children who are teaching me how to become a better teacher. I felt very enriched in this experience because often times we can't understand the struggles children go through, whether it deals with their academis, or in this case, the language barrier. It is easy to become frustrated with them when they cannot understand something right away. However, the shoe was on my foot today and I was faced with the difficulties they have everyday. It made me appreciative for their hard work and dedication and willingness to be patient with me as I should be with all of my future students."

Hallie is one of the sweetest, kindest, people I know! Here's what she will be doing after graudation and what she would like to tell you about her college experience:

"After getting the opportunity to study abroad in South Korea, I have decided to return after graduation to teach English. What I realized throughout my time at school was that nothing is set in stone, and you don't have to know exactly what you want to do right now. I'm going to take some time to travel, meet new people and explore my options. I have had the most amazing experience at USC and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Just remember that college is what you make of it- you get out what you put in! ~forever to thee~."

A few weeks ago, I had the privelage of taking graduation pictures for these two wonderful souls! I would love for you to get to know them!

Next year, Jonathan will be attending UNC-Chapel Hill where he will be pursuing a Masters of Public Administration. He says, "My dream is to pursue a career of public service, I want to help create government that is seen as a positive and flexible force for addressing the challenges of the 21st century. The best advice I can give is to try your best to be optimistic. Looking back, I don’t even remember why I let myself feel so stressed or upset over the little things. In the end, it really will all work out for the best."

Samantha will be taking a year or so to work and figure out what grad programs she potentially wants to apply for. She says, "I hope to do something with environmental policy, maybe one day leading to a career with a government agency or government relations for an environmental group." Her advice to college students: "Student organizations can be a great way to expand your horizons, and they really can give meaning to your time in college. Take a couple PE classes, you can learn great skills and they aren't as scary as they seem. If your program allows it and you have time, do a few internships. It helps you focus on what you want to do after graduation and can help you shape your path while still being in undergrad. Ultimately, have fun with it."
