The sounds of summer… The twittering birds and my neighbors lawnmower. Ready for a party, these fun and colorful earrings are created with torch fired enameled dangles, and beads made from coiled paper with some red coral and blue wooden beads. The paper beads are durable and also make the earrings light and easy to wear.

Even though I have boxes and boxes of seashells and other treasures from the beach, I can’t resist picking up more each time. Who else can relate to that? These are limpet shells and coral and other bits that I have collected from my travels to the grand Cayman Islands and to Puerto Rico. Combined on a suede cord with a wrapping of ocean colored threads, there are jute, tassels, and wooden and bone beads interspersed. perfect for a beach wedding or your next cruise.

I have always been fascinated by ancient cultures and their artistic craftsmanship. As I was making this necklace, it seemed to take on an Egyptian feel. The pendant is hand forged brass and there are clay beads that I made and painted.
