What an incredible experience it has been watching this guy over the past three years. Lots of cool history with him. I got to hunt and film him with my best friend and watch him grow up with my dad over the years. I feel so blessed.

Good management and getting to watch deer grow is such an amazing experience, and I can’t wait to do it again! My dad and I have put so much work into making this farm better over the past four years, and I’ve learned so much along the way. Heavy timber thinning and shooting lots of does has made such a difference for us and the health of the deer herd.

For those wondering, he gross scored 215 and was most likely 5.5 years old. He put on about 45 inches of antler this year!

I hope everyone has a great hunting season and gets a chance to enjoy the outdoors and God’s creation. God is so good!

This big guy is almost fully grown in early July! It’s always interesting to see how some bucks finish growing more than a month before others. Typically, older bucks and bucks that shed their antlers earlier are the first to finish growing each summer.
