a little life update ✨

The last few months have been full of both joy and some sorrow, busy days (several sessions coming up!) and bittersweet moments…but through it all, God has been our faithful sustainer. These past three months have carried many emotions, but that’s part of the beauty and weight of life.

Our little man has experienced so many “firsts” lately, including his first out-of-state trip, and it has been so sweet watching him learn and grow every single day. He’s already working on sitting up on his own, and my mama heart can hardly handle it 🥹 One of my favorite things right now is how he always wants to touch your face! The sweetest little reminder to slow down and soak in these moments.

At the same time, we’ve also said goodbye to two precious family members who have entered into eternity. It’s been a season of holding both grief and gratitude close together.

We are abundantly blessed to be parents to this sweet boy and thank God everyday for this opportunity!! What a grand adventure parenting is!

A question I often get asked is “how do you do studio images without a studio?”. Well, it often looks a lot like this set up! It might be messy in the background with furniture moved but often I can set this equipment up anywhere as long as I have a window to work with.

To all the incredible mothers, grandmothers, and mothers-to-be, we want to wish you a beautiful Mother’s Day 🌷💛🌷

I have always admired mothers from afar and have been deeply inspired by my own amazing mother and grandmother. But now, as God has blessed me with a precious little boy to raise, I have an even greater appreciation for all that mothers do each and every day.

From the daily sacrifices, to the long days and sleepless nights, to somehow finding the strength and grace for each new day…it is truly incredible all that mothers carry. And yet, what a beautiful gift motherhood is. Raising a child is one of the greatest callings God can give, and there is such deep joy and fulfillment in it.
