This one’s a little vulnerable for me, but hell, why not?
When Jess reached out asking me to capture her and her son, I was FLOORED. Nervous, giddy, slightly fangirling. 😅 I’d rented her studio for years, referred people her way, and apparently been a professional photography creep in the process (in the admiring her work way, not the stalking way). So yeah, no pressure.
But when she shared her vision? I GOT IT. I called my guy with the van, she brought all her son’s favorite things, and we threw a little retro magic into the mix. And while this isn’t my usual bold editing style, it’s my vintage bold, and honestly fit the vision perfectly. & yes that’s what we’re calling it, leave me alone. 😂
A bit about Jess, she is a military spouse, business owner, and mama, but above all, Jess is unapologetically Jess. And the love she pours into her son? You can FEEL it.
This session reminded me of something I think I’d been slowly forgetting.
Sometimes, when you start questioning your purpose, someone comes along and reminds you exactly why you fell in love with what you do.
For me, that was Jess and her son. And I don’t think they even realize it. ❤️
