I just returned from Ecuador and Galapagos Islands after attending the World Photographic Cup (WPC) in Quito. It was an honor to represent Team USA. I'm excited to say that I earned the Gold Medal in the Nature/Landscape category.

Team USA won first place, narrowly edging out Portugal by five points.

Congratulations to all the Team USA members. It took everyone to secure first place.

Hanksville is an amazing area to photograph. While we focus on drones with this workshop, photographing from the ground is just a unique. Dave and I have both taken award winning photographs from the ground as well as from the air. If you are wanting more experience and/or instruction with your drone, this is a fantastic opportunity.

When I started my PPA image competition journey, my goal was to produce images that earned merits towards my Master of Photography degree. I earned that degree a couple years ago. I never seriously considered that I might show up on the front page here. Well, this year has been pretty good for my images in various competitions. Not only did I earn two perfect scores of 100, but I also ended up on the front page of those with the highest score averages. There are some pretty amazing artists on this page, several of whom I have the privilege of knowing personally.
