To every incredible mother reading this —
I hear it so often: “I just need to lose a little weight first.”
As someone who lost her mom young, I can tell you with my whole heart — your children will not look at your photos and see what you saw in the mirror. They will see the eyes they inherited. The nose. The smile that feels like home.
And when the day comes that photographs are all they have left of you, they will not remember the size you wore. They will remember the scrapes you kissed and the magic you wove into ordinary days. They will remember the way you loved them — quietly, fiercely, completely.
They will remember you.
So hand over the phone. Step in front of the camera. Stop letting another season pass undocumented while you wait to feel ready.
You are already beautiful. Already enough. Already everything.
Don’t wait. The memories you are making right now deserve to be kept.
