Two photographers, a pile of posing blocks, and absolutely no idea where to start 😂

Hello Little recently released these posing blocks, and Kayla and I were trying to figure out how everything worked when Mirranda showed us how they all come together. Cue lots of “OHHH, that makes sense!” moments 🤯🤣

This is one of my favorite things about getting photographers together—the ideas, the laughter, and the willingness to share what we know. Thank you, Mirranda, for sharing your wisdom! There’s always something new to learn, and it’s so much more fun learning together. 🤍

When was the last time you had a REALLY good photo taken of yourself? 👀📸

And be honest… is your current profile picture a selfie from three years ago, a super outdated photo that barely looks like you anymore, or an AI-generated photo that doesn’t quite look like you? 😂

No judgment! But maybe it’s time for an update. 🤎

Here’s something I wish more people realized…

You deserve beautiful photographs of YOURSELF.

Not just when you’re getting married, having a baby, or needing a professional headshot.

You deserve them right now, exactly as you are.

And honestly, my love for individual portraits doesn’t stop at headshot sessions!

Even during family photos, I will ALWAYS make time for individual pictures of everyone.

Yes, Dad. That means YOU too. 😂

And Grandma? Don’t think you’re safe either. I WILL be convincing you to step in front of that camera for a solo portrait. 🤎

Because everyone deserves a beautiful photo of themselves, no matter their age or the occasion.

And someday, those photographs won’t just be for you. They’ll be for the people who love you, too. 🥹

Whether it’s a family session, a professional headshot, or a portrait just because, I want you to feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely yourself in front of my camera.

Tired of boring Christmas photos? Yeah, we don’t do those here. 😂🎄

Fair warning: My Christmas minis may involve so much laughing that you forget you’re at a photoshoot and start wondering if you accidentally walked into a comedy club.

I’m talking goofy poses, terrible jokes, laughing at ourselves, and encouraging everyone to just HAVE FUN!

Will we get those beautiful, classic Christmas portraits? ABSOLUTELY.

But we’re also going to let those little personalities shine, try some ridiculous poses, and capture your family being exactly who they are. 🤎

Because family photos shouldn’t feel like something you have to survive. They should be something you actually enjoy doing together!

One session. So many completely different looks. 🤎

This is one of the things I love most about photographing at Pine & Bloom Co.

Within the same studio, we were able to go from soft and bright… to warm and textured… to cozy and neutral… to playful little detail shots… and every setup still feels completely different.

That kind of versatility matters so much, especially with little ones.

Sometimes they’re happy sitting on the bed.
Sometimes they want to explore.
Sometimes a chair works better.
Sometimes the balloons become the entire personality of the session.

And because Pine & Bloom has so many different corners, textures, furniture pieces, and shooting angles, I’m never stuck trying to force one setup to work.

We can move.
We can change the look.
We can follow their mood.
We can create a gallery that feels full and varied instead of repetitive.

That flexibility is a huge part of why I love working here. 🤎

But my job stays pretty much the same:

Help you relax.
Tell you what to do with your hands. 😂
Fix the hair.
Adjust the clothes.
Hype you up probably more than necessary.
And create photographs where you can look at yourself and think—

“That’s me. And I look beautiful.”

That’s the kind of photographer I want to be. 🤎📸
