I had never done a pregnancy shoot before, so and I both got to step outside of our comfort zones for this one. I think she THOUGHT she was a difficult subject but honestly it could not have been more natural. We discussed growing up multicultural, literature, premonitions of children and our mutual love of the Spanish language…in between we snapped some photos. Thank you for letting me capture these!

Did a shoot with this weekend, a good friend and power lifting partner who just set a state record for Deadlift! Was really rad to shoot in an empty gym, turn the lights out and let the one big window do its thing. Jenny and I both take a bit of a “deadlifting as a spiritual practice” approach, and in some of the shots I aimed to capture a touch of that solitude one feels while blocking out the background noise to hone your focus. Always great to work with friends!
