Stars and Streaks

Made it over to the town of Red Cliff over the weekend. This composition has been on my mind for a while. I had previously shot this a little over 5 years ago when I was very new to photography. So I returned with a little more experience under my belt. I'm pretty pleased with the results.

Throwback Thursday!

I'm beyond grateful to be able to see some of the most beautiful places on earth. When I traveled to Indonesia last year, it was the trip of a lifetime. Their waterfalls are simply unmatched.

Twin Lakes Tuesday!

I spent this past weekend camping at a place I've been visiting for well over 30 years. I've photographed this little pond and cabin more times than I can remember. I was passing by on my way up Independence Pass and the atmospheric light was too good to pass up. This is probably my favorite photo from here to date.

Maroon Bells Monday 🛎

Over this past weekend, I was able to visit the most photographed mountains in North America. I've been here numerous times, but this time was different because I got to bring my family along. It was very cloudy and had started to drizzle with a bit of wind. I decided to get creative and do a super long exposure to flatten out the water and drag the clouds to smooth everything out. The image is a single 120 second exposure.

Springing into Summer in the high country. Soon the hills will be covered with my favorite flowers and my weekend home in the mountains will be wherever I choose to be at that time. I'm very grateful for the life I have, and look forward to camping all summer long with friends and family.
