There’s something special about capturing a moment right before life takes its next big step.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph an incredible young woman as she prepares to graduate high school, and we couldn’t have picked a more perfect setting; surrounded by nature, flowing waterfalls, and the kind of beauty that reflects new beginnings.

Graduation isn’t just the end of a chapter, it’s the start of a whole new story. And moments like these deserve to be captured forever.

March 2nd is officially recognized as Bridging the Literacy Gap Day here in Colorado Springs, a day dedicated to something incredibly powerful: the gift of reading.

Reading opens doors to imagination, opportunity, and lifelong learning. It builds confidence in our children, strengthens our communities, and empowers the next generation to dream bigger and reach further.

This event was a reminder that literacy is not just about books, it’s about giving every child the tools to succeed. None of this would be possible without the incredible volunteers, educators, and community members who showed up to make a difference.

Thank you to Tima Stansell Gordon and everyone who gave their time, energy, and heart to support our youth. Your impact goes far beyond a single day.

March 2nd is Bridging the Literacy Gap Day here in Colorado Springs and Tima Stansell Gordon had plenty of volunteers come out to read to students, and talk about the importance of reading. So honored to be a part of this great movement!
