Personal life updates:

I had my nursing school finals last week and then graduated with my Bachelor's of Science in Nursing June 27. I was also pinned to becoming a nurse by my husband. Im beyond grateful he was able to come home for a few days from his deployment to attend. We have been trying our best to spend some quality time together this past week. Unfortunately I have to drop him off at the airport later tonight for him to fly back to his deployment 😭

Sometime, this month I am also anticipating getting my ATT (authorization to test) number from the state of Colorado so I can go take my NCLEX. Therefore, even though I am graduated from nursing school, I still need to study here and there as passing the NCLEX is what officially gives me the title of RN.

I also will be doing Army things July 8-11 so my response time may be a bit slow as I am not allowed to have any electronics (including my cell phone) while I am at work.

I also accepted my first nursing job. I will be a labor and delivery nurse at a hospital in Savannah, GA starting in the fall. We are hoping to get our house on the market before July is over. 🤞🏻

I have been pretty M.I.A from social media as life has been hectic this past year but I wanted to take some time to provide insight to everyone.

The beginning of 2024. I was going through divorce. That was pretty emotional. I moved out of my now ex husbands home and into my own apartment. I ended up failing a term of nursing school and that put a financial burden on me as part of my income comes from being a full-time student and utilizing my VA benefits.

In the midst of it all and way sooner then I had expected, I met an amazing man, Vinny. I then moved again, only 3 months or so after I had gotten into that apartment into Vinny's home since I was no longer going to be able to afford my apartment due to failing that term of nursing school. I was extremely nervous, and my emotions were all over the place between trying to process the divorce, failing nursing school, having to move yet again, especially since my relationship with Vinny was extremely new. I also had to quit my waitressing job that I had since my new home was going to be too far.

But everything worked out. The Army put me active duty from July- August 2024 while I was going through the re-admissions process for nursing school. This helped the financial gap I was experiencing. I was struggling to adjust to my new life. You see, when I decided to move in with Vinny and continue nursing school I acquired a long commute. My home is almost 100 miles from school and an avg round trip commute of 4 hours. There are many days my commute is 3 hours in one direction, though. Between class, clinicals and driving I have been so exhausted.

Throughout all of it, Vinny was the most supporting and caring person. In January of this year he proposed and I said yes. We were hoping for an April 2026 wedding but we found out he was going to be deploying. (He currently is deployed) so we decided to elope and only had 2 weeks to put everything together.

I graduate nursing school June 27th and we recently found out that we will be moving to Savannah, GA at the end of this year so we are prepping for it.

I just want to say thank you to everyone for your support over the years and all my ups and downs 💗
