Honoring all the members of our armed forces who gave what President Abraham Lincoln called "the last full measure of devotion," Memorial Day is one of the most important and solemn days on the National Mall. Across 250 years of American history, starting with those who fell while fighting alongside General George Washington in the Revolutionary War to recent conflicts, we will never forget our heroes. The military memorials on the National Mall are stunning tributes to hundreds of thousands of people who laid down their lives for freedom. Today we lay wreaths at these special places, but every day, walking past stone walls and metal statues, we recognize the loved and lost and offer the thanks of a grateful nation.

A little sunshine, a lot of movement, tiny hands to hold… and yes, a binky too 💛

One thing I’ll never stress about during your session? Perfection.

If your baby wants the paci, cool. If your toddler needs cuddles, snacks, breaks, or wants to run wild for a minute… that’s cool too.

Because years from now, I don’t think you’ll look back and wish your children acted “perfectly.” I think you’ll want to remember who they truly were in this season.

The little comforts.
The chaos.
The way they reached for you.
The real moments in between.

✨ A little business update ✨

As my business has continued to grow, I’ve had to make a few changes behind the scenes to keep things organized and running smoothly, especially when it comes to storing galleries and RAW files.

Starting soon, galleries and session files will no longer be stored indefinitely.

Here’s what that means:

• RAW files + unselected proof images will be removed after your final gallery is delivered OR after 4 months of inactivity on a proofing gallery/payment plan.

• Final delivered galleries will remain backed up for 12 months after delivery date.

• After 12 months, galleries may be permanently removed from my hard drives to free up storage space.

If you’ve received your final gallery:
PLEASE download your images ASAP and back them up in multiple places (computer, external hard drive, cloud storage, etc). Technology fails sometimes and I never want anyone losing their memories 🥲

If you currently have a proofing gallery open:
make sure to select your favorites and complete any remaining payments within the timeframe listed in your gallery email so nothing gets missed.

I truly appreciate you guys supporting my small business and trusting me with your memories. Running this business has grown way beyond what I ever imagined, and keeping things streamlined helps me continue showing up fully for all of you 💛
