Lu's Inspired Works

Lu's Inspired Works Contact me at [email protected] I am a local photographer and artist who finds joy in capturing special moments that come, and then pass so quickly.

I am intrigued by the power held in our hands to freeze moments in time. These images are not just for show to me, but a part of history: the legacy and memories we will leave to our children and the generations that come after us. Capturing these moments is so important to me, because it is part of what we will leave behind. I am also an artist that loves experimenting with different mediums. I l

ove to blast worship music, and paint! It is a form of worship for me. I long for beauty and wonder to be experienced through my work, and I hope that someone can find joy from it, and even sense God's presence. If you are interested in having me do a photoshoot, provide coverage for a special event, or create a custom piece of art, please feel free to message me.

When you've had the hardest day homeschooling your son, and your husband gets home and tells you "He's got this." You retreat to the garage and pull out pieces of who you are, reflect, and remind yourself that you are also someone outside of being a mother. You are an artist! You are a worshipper. You are a child of God who is daily being pursued by the Creator of the universe. You are artistic, because He is artistic. It's an aspect of who He is, and He has implanted a little piece of His nature inside of you to be shared with the world.

And to all of my other creative friends out there, know that no matter if others understand you or not, He does, and He's often misunderstood too. He'll sit with you right in that place. He knows you are different. He was different too, and it's ok to be unique, strange, weird, or what the world would call a little bit "out there". He calls it beautiful! After all, He is the one who knit you together in your mother's womb. You are His masterpiece!

So here's to slowly, but surely turning my garage into an art studio and all of the moments I will share with God out here. I'm thoroughly enjoying the peaceful atmosphere to ponder, mediate, and get my thoughts on paper.

Experimenting with paint pens for the first time tonight. When you can't get the words out, colors and shapes will have to do.

I'll call it "Beautiful Chaos".

This painting is titled, "Never Too Far Gone." To this day, I remember worshipping while I created this piece, and the Holy Spirit whispering that phrase over and over again to me. These colors are significant in the fact that the dark green gives a grunge look to the piece, almost like it is run down and dirty. The blue represents the washing of our sins through water baptism, and the red and yellow stand for the fire of the Holy Spirit that refines and empowers us. The red also symbolizes the blood of Jesus Christ that paid the ultimate price and allows us to be in right standing and relationship with God. You're never too far away to turn back around and RUN to Him. You're never too far gone!
