Reel Recovery is the reel deal! Reel Recovery

Just spent an enriching weekend as a volunteer fishing buddy with Reel Recovery retreat. The gentleman I was paired with was in his late 70s and spoke very little english and had never fly fished. We had a great time bonding through fishing and stories about his life (and mine). He shared about the experience at the retreat, the incredible food and accommodations and the courageous discussions they all had. It was a nice getaway from him being the primary care giver for his ailing wife. If you know of any men who have or have had cancer I would highly recommend this retreat. My first fish of 2024 on a bead head olive wooly bu**er fished below a strike indicator. My second fish would have had this one for a snack and gave me quite the fight on my 4wt fiberglass Butter Stick before she threw the fly! True story! The third one was a small sunfish. Be well! Fish on! — in Creek Meadows Neighborhood.

It occurred to me today that our beautiful great granddaughter born in April will be on the 2041 HS graduating class. Whoa! That blew my mind😵‍💫😱🤯
