Weddings are known as one of the most special days in a couples life. It’s a day that only happens once and it comes and goes so quickly. Why would I want the pressure of capturing a day of such high importance with real moments that cannot be recreated? ✨

It’s simple, I want to provide the couple with photos that they will cherish forever. I want to capture their day in a way that tells their story. Years from now, when they look back at their photos, I want them to feel exactly what it felt like to be there—the nerves, the laughter, the happy tears, and the love that filled every part of the day. ❤️

There’s something so meaningful about being trusted with a day like this—getting to witness the quiet, in-between moments, the overwhelming excitement and joy, and the love the couple shares. 🥰

Happy Friday!💖 As I get into posting more on my socials, I thought it would be fun for me to share a little bit about my wedding photography journey, my approach to wedding photography, and what it is like working with me as a wedding photographer! I will be sharing a little bit on each of my next couple wedding posts, so stay tuned for more topics! ✨

To start off this little series, I wanted to share how I got started photographing weddings. 💍

I started out second shooting weddings in 2023 and have continued to second shoot occasionally since then! Second shooting has always been a great opportunity for me to learn from some of the very best photographers! I have worked alongside so many amazing photographers and have learned a lot from each of them. I am especially thankful to and — they were both mentors to me for my Agribusiness Entrepreneurship project at Texas A&M, have allowed me to tag along with them on many wedding days, and have answered so many of my questions. I have learned so much from them and am so thankful for their commitment to helping me get started in the wedding photography industry! 🫶🏻

After second shooting numerous weddings, I finally decided it was time to start photographing weddings on my own! I photographed my very first wedding on my own in 2024 (pictured in this post). Lacey & Nathan❤️ Forever thankful to them for trusting me to capture their special day!
