How Loops N' Latigos came to be....
Hey Y'all,
My name is Bailey and I was born and raised just outside a small town in eastern Washington (pop. 570). When I was about 12 (2011) my cousin and I started shooting around with our digital cameras and phones, we had this grand idea that we were going to start doing photography together. Nevertheless, she didn't keep the interest in the same form I did.
A few months after I took my first step down the photography road I decided I wanted to call my hobby Loops N' Latigos Photography; mainly after my love for roping and spending time horseback, but also because I liked the way it rolled off the tongue. I began taking pictures of the horses, dogs, and our home. Then, one summer day I called my friend who lived a mile or so down the road from me and asked if she would like to be my model. From that day forward the ball was rolling! I had all these ideas, and she had all the patience in the world. We spent days shooting and editing photos and she wound up playing a huge role in getting my feet under me as a photographer. Miss Kylie has always been there when I had an idea boiling inside me and needed to get my lens on it! After many shoots with kylie, my little sister, and some other neighbor girls; I started getting asked about doing senior photos, couples, babies, weddings, etc. and it became apparent this could become a little more than a hobby. I mainly get asked to do senior and couple photos. I tend to have an eye for anything country and western and love to use warm tones. However, I believe "life begins at the end of your comfort zone" and this philosophy hasn't once let me down. The first time I shot in downtown Spokane with Jada, all I could think about was how cool they were turning out. There are so many different types of shoots I have done and I am excited to continue to learn and do more with my talents. Loops N' Latigos is more than just portraits. I enjoy photographing scenery and animals as I go on adventures and wander around this pretty little place I get to call home! That all being said, I couldn't be more happy to have a hobby such as this one. To all the friends, models, fellow photographers, and family that not only help make this possible but critique me and support me, THANK YOU! I love seeing your friendly faces visiting my page and helping me keep this alive!
