We have had so much beautiful sun this weekend, and I am filled with gratitude.
I have never experienced a true winter before, and after successfully surviving my first, here is what I have learned:
-Sun Matters. It affects how we feel and the ease of which we feel happy and settled.
-Snow comes, and it melts. On some level, I think I expected never ending snow and for it to come one day and stay for 3-4 months, then leave just as suddenly as it arrived.
It doesn’t. It comes to visit for a few days, then melts- then comes again randomly.
-I am always cold. Thank you sweaters.
-When your car starts lightly sliding on ice after a turn, you learn how to have a little faith and just lean into it vs. panicking.
-It is an absolute treasure to be warm inside watching snow fall through the windows.
As appreciative as I am for my first winter- I am thrilled to greet my first Spring. Trees are starting to blossom and this limbo I find myself in is expectant, present, warm, and exciting.
Life grows here.
