Applications are officially OPEN for a very special portrait project: The Grey Muzzle Series. 🐾

Because our time with senior dogs goes by in the blink of an eye, this exclusive experience is dedicated entirely to honoring their legacy with permanent, custom artwork for your home.

A limited number of families will be selected for this project. Selected participants will receive a custom portrait session PLUS a modest $500 Signature Artwork Credit (a $695 total value) to use towards your favorite images and artwork.

‼️ Applications are open to senior pups 8+ years of age and older and who are able to attend a session in the Coeur d'Alene area. An application must be submitted for consideration.

✅ Ready to preserve your best friend's legacy? Drop a comment with a photo of your best pup and I'll DM you the application!

I present to you, the most handsome of boys - Inosuke. "Ino" as his mama calls him, is a Silken Windhound who suffers from Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), and is partially blind. Despite his neurologic limitations, he doesn't let life slow him down.

We spent a good few hours together at Mirabeau Point Park and he had the best time exploring nature, wobbling around the wildflowers, and getting quick spurts of zoomies across the park. He's a mad man! 😂 And so photogenic if I don't say so myself!

Working with Ino was a gift, and he's a great reminder that limitations should never be the reason for avoiding portraits with your best friend - wobbles and all!

Sometimes I get the most random spurts of creativity during a session which I just KNOW are going to be the most epic shots. And then I get home and bring them up on the computer only to feel completely let down.

This moment with Samson was just that. We had come across a fallen tree from one of our recent windstorms and I was thinking how cool it would be to take advantage of some framing with the vertically positioned branches. I didn’t realize I was going to get home to find a severely underexposed image with crushed blacks and zero depth. 😒

I ALMOST trashed this image while sorting for the final ordering appointment. I just didn’t think there was any saving it, particularly in his eyes, neck, and upper right corner. But I played with it a bit and decided to at least present it to Samson’s mom - turns out, it was a final favorite! Even I surprise myself from time to time. 😂

I have beef with springtime. Specifically April and May when every new sign of life is glowing fluorescent green. 🥴

Don’t get me wrong, I love the opportunity for some good wildflower portraits, and the spring colors are so vibrant and beautiful - but my goodness it feels like the editing takes 5x as long.

Enjoy this unsuspecting shot of my girl approximately five seconds before becoming a total menace. 🏎️💨

A little behind the scenes from this Tubbs Hill session. Hugo’s mom was kind enough to document me trying not to fall into the lake. 😂

I love when clients capture me working and surprise me with content from the session, I think it’s so fun to see the magic happening from another perspective. Don’t ever be afraid to whip your phone out for moments like this! 🫶

What you get working with me:

An obsessive-compulsive, borderline unhealthy, level of micro attention to detail. 😆 I can’t stand clutter and junk in an image, and if it’s distracting on your phone, just imagine how obnoxious it will look printed larger up on your wall.

Retouching at this level takes time and a serious amount of technical skill, which is one reason my images aren’t a quick turnaround and the investment is higher. The result, however, will always speak for itself. Premium artwork deserves premium images. 🙌

Admittedly, I haven’t been great about posting lately. Sometimes all of the day-to-day tasks of owning a business can be a bit overwhelming and I’m starting to recognize the need for some backend help. I came out of March having had an incredible month and have been soaking in the blessings God has so humbly provided.

This girl here is Battle, and she was one of the sweet faces I was honored to capture last month. I actually met her and her mama years ago when we worked in vetmed together, and as they pass 15 years together, Alisha thought it might be time to do something special for her best friend.

They made the trip up from Lewiston and we spent a good amount of time capturing the bond they’ve developed. There’s nothing like the one you share with your soul dog, and I’m really excited for Battle’s artwork to come in, which will serve as a lasting testimony of their love and friendship.

Which one of these portraits is your favorite??

Sharing some Pittie love this morning with the goodest boy Tripp. He is so sweet and lovable, and did just about everything we asked of him - I mean look at that perfect posing (off leash even!) 😍

His mom Ashley adopted him from a shelter a few years ago and says he “defies the pit bull stereotype and is a great example of the love and companionship that can come when you choose to adopt and restore hope in a shelter dog.” 🤍

Meet Sage. 🐾

When her mom Tori first shared a bit about her, she described a dog who is “super friendly, happy, and cuddly” and just wants to be wherever her people are, and that immediately rang true the moment I met her.

Sage is such a loved part of Tori and her husband Jason’s everyday life and Tori says she’s even a regular at the office where coworkers stop by just to give her love. Tori shares that “she loves water, finding birds, a treat and is absolutely ball crazy” so it seemed fitting that we plan for a session in her natural element. I loved meeting this sweet girl, and after spending time with her, it’s easy to see why she’s so adored.
