Made to the Dempster highway in the Yukon today. Spent last night camped along the Dempster and had a late night visitor. I was hearing a strange call I wasn't familiar with. The animal was moving around in the forest not to far from the van and then disappeared. In the morning I checked different animal sounds on my phone and I'm pretty sure I heard a lynx. Spent the day in Tombstone Provencial Park. A rugged and beautiful remote park but very disappointing wildlife viewing. Really didn't see anything. I was expecting more. Thinking we'll head out in the morning

We ended up getting washed out at Glacierl. Drove up to Logan Pass yesterday morning and got into dense fog and the rain started. Rangers informed us the Going to the Sun Road would close at 2pm during to the threat of flash floods. It poured down all afternoon and night. Windy and heavy rain still going on this morning. Weather looked better to the north so we took off for Banff and Jasper NP. After crossing the border we naturally had to find a Tim Hortons for breakfast. Made it into Jasper NP. And are camped near the Columbia Ice Field. Got out of the rain but the skies here are very smokey. Not sure where it's coming from but it sure is screwing ip and good landscape photography...
