I expressed this concern to Jordan and she was SO understanding and accommodating, she talked to me before we started to understand everything that would be okay for her to do and anything that my son might freak out about. She was able to capture the most beautiful photos and honestly I was shocked my son was pretty much fine the entire shoot. For anyone with sensitive kids, Jordan could not be more perfect to work with. Now I get to have beautiful family photos displayed all over my home. I truly cannot wait to do another session with her.

Clients! Here are 5 things I don’t care about as your photographer:

If you tell me you don’t know what to wear and want my help with picking outfits
(I actually do this for every client! I love styling families and they love not having to do all that work… Win win!)

If you think you’re awkward in front of the camera… Okay I actually 100% do care if you feel that way and what I really mean here is not to worry because I got you, you’ll feel comfortable during your session in no time, there’s never pressure to perform, and I’ll guide you every step of the way!
(My clients always tell me afterwards how comfortable they felt and that I helped them to just be themselves during their session 🫶🏻)

If you don’t look at the camera the whole time.
(I prefer that you don’t honestly, and you’ll love those photos best, I promise!)

If your kids run around and roll in the sand, we’re there to play after all!
(Why don’t you join them? 😂😌 Kidding.. kind of, but not really 😆 I do encourage you to get on their level and play together though, this is how they have fun so let’s make it fun for them! Just like you would at home!)

If you and your family want to get IN the water… 🌊 we’re at the beach so you should absolutely get in! And I’m always down to go in with you, seriously! As long as the waves aren’t huge haha 🏊🏻‍♀️
(I do suggest doing this in the last half or at the end of your session so you’re not wet the entire time.)

Want to know the easiest way to feel comfortable and have fun at your family session?

(Spoiler alert: The end result will be photos that are so full of life and meaningful to you!)

It’s easier than you think!
Let me set the scene… 🎬

Imagine you decide to head to the beach for a family day out. When you arrive you walk over the boardwalk towards the beach, you take in the views and feel the anticipation of a beautiful day ahead. When your toes hit the sand you set your things down and look around, you breathe deep because you made it to the beach (!!) and that salt air just hits different - ahh 😌 time to relax and enjoy!

You find yourself wanting to explore so you walk around with your kids collecting cool shells, chasing birds… You dip your feet in the water, let the waves crash around you and kick the water to splash each other. You want to take a little break so you go sit down with each other to relax, you talk, you lay back in the sand. Maybe you play a little game while you’re sitting or build a sand castle together.

Then your kids spot these big jetty rocks so you all walk over to climb around and explore what’s over there. Then the kids want to play in the water again so you let them run around and play while you and your spouse stand close, hug, or take a tiny stroll at the shore holding hands and watching your kids play. (Look! You made this life together!!)

And then the day just goes on like that…
You have your kids pick some activities, you suggest a few, the day ebbs and flows with down time and play time.

And like any other day if your kids need a break, we take a little break.. if they feel like running around, you let them go wild for a bit.. you go with the flow!

Until the day is over and you pack up after a long but fun day, feeling happy because you guys spent great quality time as a family and made memories together 🌞🐚🌊🥹💛

And that’s it… that’s all you have to do! I just described exactly what our family beach session looks and feels like! 😍

👀 Heyyyyy….. hi, howdy… this thing on? 🎤 😂 Guess I’m just gonna jump right back in as if I didn’t take a 5 month IG hiatus 💁🏼‍♀️

No real reason for said hiatus other than life has been pretty busy and social media is draining. So I have enjoyed this app lately for nothing more than finding funny videos to make myself lol and to spam friends with, so yeah… 👍🏻 All good 😆

Easing in to posting by not forcing myself to come up with some witty / helpful / cool caption. It’s just this for now. Letting y’all know I’m still here ✌🏻 I’m still a photographer and still taking photos of fun and gorgeous families! 🫶🏻
