Payten and Jordan's wedding yesterday was so full of sentimental and joyful moments between friends and family--there are so many photos to edit and share over the upcoming days! The moment they finally see each other.
The way a dad watches his daughter before he gives her away.
The hugs that linger just a second longer than expected.
I'll watch two people realize, "This is really happening."

And I'll quietly make sure those moments are never forgotten.

Everyone I work with knows how much I absolutely love my second career as a photographer. It brings me such joy to be able to capture special moments and milestones for people. I am so grateful for the people who encouraged as I built my business and who continue to refer people my way. I also love teaching others to better understand the technical and creative aspects of photography! Ever since I was a little girl, I was fascinated with heirloom photos of my mother as a toddler. The chubby little cheeks, the cute little curls… And when my son Timothy grew into a toddler, I recognized those same features in his face! Without those heirloom photos from 70+ years ago, I would have never noticed the family resemblance.

Heirloom sessions capture the features, expressions, and personalities you'll want to remember forever. Created in a classic portrait style with a soft white background and delicate fading edges, these images celebrate the beauty of childhood and beloved pets in a way that feels both simple and enduring.

Years from now, these images will become more than photographs. They become part of your family's story. They will be the portraits that future generations look back on to see familiar features, family resemblances, and the little details that might otherwise be forgotten.

Over the last year, I have learned how to do heirloom photo sessions and have begun offering them! Today's blog post explains my process for an in-home heirloom session, as well as what to wear and how to keep uncooperative children happy!
