Today is my first official day of my RETIREMENT. Everyone keeps asking me how I feel, and honestly, I don't know! I know it won't hit me until the end of July when all my teacher-friends go back to work and my kids go back to school and I...don't! Until then, it feels like every other summer for the last twenty-eight years, when I get to turn off my teaching brain, sleep in, clean the house, and spend some time with my family and friends. I have so many plans for my photography business, which I will be ironing out and announcing in the near future, but until then, I am going to enjoy this feeling of ahhhhhhh!!!

My husband and I are Disney people. One of the first things we bonded over was our love for Disney. He proposed in front of the castle at Magic Kingdom, our wedding cake topper was Mickey and Minnie, we visited Disney World every year for the first few years of our marriage, both our boys are “Disney babies” and their middle names are an homage to Walt Disney himself, their first haircuts were at Harmony Barber Shop on Main Street of Magic Kingdom, our home is decorated with hidden (and not-so-hidden) Mickeys in every room…I could go on and on about how much we love the magic of Disney.

This past February, we visited Disney for the first time in 6 1/2 years.

There’s something really sweet about the stuffed animals that showed up at some of my senior sessions this year. 🥹

Maybe they’ve been around since bedtime stories and scraped knees… maybe they’ve sat quietly on a shelf for years… but somehow, they still make the cut for one of life’s biggest milestones.

And honestly? I think that says a lot.

Growing up doesn’t mean you have to erase the little pieces of who you’ve been. It means carrying those memories and experiences with you as you step into who you’re becoming.

Today we’re celebrating the seniors who are standing on the edge of something brand new — college, careers, trade school, big dreams, unknown roads, and all the beautiful in-between moments ahead. ✨

Congratulations, seniors.
May you walk confidently into adulthood without losing the softness, wonder, and heart that got you here in the first place. 🤍

One month married and somehow the wind still deserves a guest credit in this wedding day 🤍✨

Truly… the wind was a main character (I stole that line from Jenna, lol!). Veils were flying, hair had a mind of its own, timelines got a little flexible, and we actually used that bucket of clear umbrellas I drag to my weddings. But honestly? It made the day feel even more alive.

Because underneath all the movement and chaos was so much joy. The kind of joy you can’t pose for. The kind that shows up in deep belly laughs, windblown hugs, happy tears, and a dance floor that never slowed down.

This day was a reminder that the most meaningful weddings aren’t the perfectly polished ones; they’re the ones where people are fully present, fully themselves, and having the absolute best time celebrating their love.
